CCM GmbH presents the family of Bacoban products, which it says are the only surface disinfection products which offer 10 days protection against viral, fungal and bacterial infection.
The issue of disinfection within an office environment is a highly significant problem. As we know there are many disinfectants which kill bacteria and viruses on contact, but unfortunately viruses and bacteria rapidly re-infect cleaned surfaces.
Over recent years CCM GmbH hasbeen searchingfor a solution to this “problem” ;a problem which is central to the loss of billions of euros in lost productivity per year . Together with leading health care agencies, CCM set about the task of finding a DIY coating for keyboards, phones, tablets , desks etc. which would provide several days of anti-pathogen protection. CCM looked all over the world for such a coating but were amazed to find that a local German company was able to support them in what at one time appeared to be Mission Impossible; and in addition to offering a few days of protection CCM found that the coating offered a stunning 10 days of protection.
Heiner Perk, MD of CCM notes: “We are all now aware that key boards and similar surfaces can harbour 400X more micro organisms than a WC and so we didn’t want to go with standard disinfection products which are readily available, but wanted to invest our time into looking at a more effective solution to the problem. The result is that we are now able to offer a series of Longterm-Disinfection products which have been approved to work for up to 10 days.Standard disinfection products only last for around 5minutes.”
The products are CE certified as a Class 2 medical deviceand registered in Germany under VAH (medical listing) which also allows the products to be sold into the medical sector. The products are available in spray bottles and as wet wipes and are effective against bacteria, fungi, viruses i.e. Hepatitis B + C, Influenza (i.e. H5N1 and H1N1) and rotaviruses
